Did you hear the latest evil plot formulated by NASA? Doomsday criers claim that NASAs nefarious scheme was to drop the old Galileo spacecraft into Jupiter and use it to ignite Jupiter like a fusion bomb, either turning it into a star like the Sun, or simply blowing it to smithereens. Can this be true? Could NASA accomplish such a dastardly plot?
The argument, at this point, is rather irrelevant since the Galileo has already been sent and burned up in Jupiters atmosphere. Much to the embarrassment (I hope) of the speculators, Jupiter has stubbornly remained Jupiter and our solar system remains terribly intact, in no danger of becoming binary.

it's funny when you laugh out loud and people look at you. they say they are wasted on me. i found some more of those raisins that you have to shell... raisinettes? forward can be hard because i can't imagine the absence of a wall. behind the stars are... more stars? i find i'm always going backward.
8/22/03: chockablock = very full
welcome people who want to see barakel pictures. let me know if it's all good; sign my guestbook if you have time, and God bless.
did you know... my definition for "word" is on the net as:

current music: forward motion by relient k
8/17/03: travesty = an imitation that makes crude fun of something
my heart is full. God allowed me to see how He worked through me this summer; my blood cuz came to see me after 4 years; i went to gettysburg and saw seemingly surreal monuments; the power and water went out at home for 30 plus or so hours (we still can't drink the water); and now, horror of horrors, it's back to the grindstone of school and work. God is good... all the time!
so, that quiz in my archives... ben-from-the-bus and chris-from-the-bus (good cheating!) and kim, you guys rock! i want to get ahold of you guys, but no email addresses (kim, i know where you live!;) ) so you'd better visit again and drop your e-address in my guestbook!
new things: a poem, a barakel page all its own, some barakel pictures are up but there are more to come (tell me if there are problems but if there are i might just say, tough, get a new computer), and a new story which you will all agree is the best true story i've "written" yet.
caleb, thankyou for the surprise, which it was. i'll pray for you and i love you too. (i mean, you even know how to spell lasagna! my hero)

7/30/03: Barakel = where God has blessed
i'm not officially back from camp, but my birthday is tomorrow so i get to celebrate my 21st with the family. and surprise of surprises... caleb came to see me all the way from cali!
if you signed my guestbook it's up now. barakel pics to come. i'm too busy hanging out with my cuz.
btw, all my old posts are stuffed in another archive.
5/27/03: Prognosticate = to foretell; predict
This is really goodbye. I promise.
New: three poems, i got rid of most of the pictures of me because they were stupid, replacing a couple in photos just in case, and so i have new pictures and sayings in their places. check it out. take the picture tour. God bless. My address is below...
5/17/03: Limpid = transparent
I'm getting ready to head off to Camp Barakel for the summer. I probably won't post anything for a while because I won't be home to do so. To contact me at camp, because I love mail, continue to email me or write to:

It would be great to hear from you all. Your encouragement and prayers would be wonderful too... camp life can be fun but it can also be disheartening at times. I'm really looking forward to another summer up there!
In other news, I posted a story i wrote that i found in an excersize book about a thunderstorm. another story written by Lisa and I when we were in high school, an "And Then" story, with Illustrations by me. I also found an old poem i just titled "Liberty". And another picture of a girl. So there's a bit of fun for you while I'm gone. Thanks all those who sign my guestbook!
current music: This Old Man by Guardian
5/2/03: Obverse = opposite.
Talking to my old friend Nic online who is off in the military right now... pray for him... we were exchanging art, he over web cam, me through the Pages. So i finally decided to post my self-portraits because i should... i'm offending no one but myself. so the first is of me with curly hair and glasses, the second of me in the army hat. and just for good measure, i put a picture of me in glasses there. compare; yell at me. i am bad at drawing people, not like Nic, but i did spend a lot more time on the first one than the second so that might explain things. oh, and i drew my new red shoes. i love drawing cool shoes! its all in charcoal because that's what i've been using lately.
more Good news! gage did not update his own page by himself, but he initiated it by giving me JPGs of two guns he drew. check them out! we are proud! of course i inspired his artisticness... lol... at least i did one thing right in life. Also, Charity's Website is added to "people we know and love."
new poem.
current music: Adding to the Noise by Switchfoot
4/21/03: Lachrymose = tending to cause tears: mournful
I've posted before this, I just haven't updated this index. Besides a lot of guestbook submissions, there is
-a new story I wrote for a class (it's short and I have heard positive feedback)
-a rationale explaining the story
-an author study on Madeleine L'Engle
-an article I wrote on why Christians should not be kept out of the military by the Christian community
-a paper on Jim Elliot, one of my favorite Dead Guys of all time!
Nothing else... I am procrastinating here. This is where school makes you wish you were dead... in another place with your Creator. Come Lord Jesus! Even if I didn't have four papers this week!
current music: Say it Loud by Santus Real
4/12/03: Schadenfreude = enjoyment obtained from the troubles of others
Good news! My friend Ed helped me fix my guestbook so now it works nicely and everything! So go visit it; see the new stuff; sign it again; celebrate!
The storm we had this past weekend was really bad in my area but my school was virtually untouched by the ice! What's up with that! So Gage and I watched trees cracking and falling and it was totally neat... until our power went out for a few days and we froze to death because our house is a draft even if we HAVE the heat on. Michigan is psycotic. Now it's too warm; it got over 50 degrees today I'll bet. *sigh* we got through winter, now we have to get through spring!
nothing else new yet. perhaps soon.
current music: Let's Get Together by Miss Angie
3/22/03: reticent, inclined to be uncommunicative or silent in speech
Okay I forgot to tell people that I did post a new article about Camp Barakel, not the one I was going to write and post, but something nonetheless.
Today, new: a review of Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry by Mildred D. Taylor, a book I read for adolecent literature. A good read.
Also an essay on Coleridge's poem "Kubla Khan" which really isn't a fragment, but part of it WAS from an opium induced dream. Hey it's not every day that you can write a paper on someone who was under the influence of drugs. Seize the day!
current music: Selfish Love by Spooky Tuesday
3/21/03: jocose, given to joking; humorous
I've been writing for the school newspaper currently, so I've posted a couple articles as I wrote them... the school newspaper hasn't come out yet. One is a movie review on both the 1960 and 2001 versions of Ocean's Eleven, both of which are favorite movies of mine. I admit that my review is more of a critical response than a review, but I'm not too sorry. The other is an opinions article on left-handed people. I'm left-handed, isn't that cool? I've always felt a bit special about the fact. Please don't burst my bubble.
current music: Disco For a Ride by Joy Electric
3/10/03: proliferate, to grow or increase in number rapidly
I have a new hobby: spending money. and i need to STOP IT. there's just so much good music out there... and i've been checking out vinyls at the flea market and local salvation army's. about the best place around the Rochester/Auburn Hills/Ponitac area to find used CD's for sale is Dixie Land Flea Market on Dixie Highway by the Summit Place Mall... but that's just because i don't know of anything else. Or better, you can get great CD's from California, where my cousin lives. Why better? That's an expensive trip! Well i just go to secondspin.com because they usually have some great stuff and the shipping is MUCH better than ebay or whatever people normally shop on since its all coming from one place. i've checked them out and they always send quality stuff. hurrah. but its also very addictive... LOOK! ANOTHER JOY ELECRTIC CD FOR SALE...!
coming soon: more info on Camp Barakel, the camp we all love so well.
thank you to laura, paul, zeke, and caleb for signing my guest book even though you did not reveal your true identities (oops). so there are my three people who perhaps maybe look at my site sometimes. (yes, i CAN count. figure it out: why is 4 actually 3?)
oh and i updated Gage's little web page for him, since he said nothing would ever change. he's right... i just added the yurl for laura's website under "people we know and love."
3/5/03: errant, straying outside the proper bounds
See how many eleventy BILLIONS of people have signed my guest book? Shows you how popular I am... okay, just this web site. And that's okay because I am STILL humbler than Jon.
I have a new poem up for what it's worth. And another one, too!
2/15/03: wotd: cerulean, resembling the blue of sky
Two stories posted today. One is a fantasy story I wrote, almost a true story, but since the word "fantasy" is key... yeah. It's called Grounded. Boy, that doesn't sound realistic at all.
The other is a parable of sorts... something I dreamed up very late at night/early in the morning. Just in case you think I'm dumb... that's why.
2/13/03: wotd: marplot, one who frustrates or ruins a plan by meddling
New poem.
2/6/03: wotd: redoubtable, illustrious, eminent; broadly: worthy of respect
Paul actually came up with a new quote.
Charity, a girl at church, made it to the fpcc quote page.
2/3/02: wotd: succinct. okay, if you don't know what that succinctly means...
if you haven't noticed, i made a guestbook option. i feel smart, and you'll find out why. please forgive me a snicker.
a new poem, but the person i wrote it for will never read it b/c he never visits my website, so i think i'm safe. here's a question: when is a door not a door?
2/1/03: wotd: abyssal, impossible to comprehend: infathomable
ART! Like I promised, a lot of art. I'm still trying to figure out the digital camera, so I must apologize for darkness and blurrrriness. You'll still get the general idea. I went into my sketchbook and everything.
1/31/03: wotd: kerfuffle, a British word refering to a disturbance or fuss
New: two cartoons and a picture under art (also one i didn't do, but that doesn't count). once I retrieve the photos currently on my digital camera, there will be so much art you won't know what to do. But until then, enjoy the sparceness of life.
I suggest you go to Zeke's website to see this really cool poem he wrote called Po(Poem, Poem, Poem)em. I really really really approve. (tithe your earnings to lawndale high, tithe your earnings to...) He has a secret method to it, but it took me a hint to catch on.
Now, so the page isn't too long, all my old 2002 posts are under achives. I'm not going to put a link because it's right above and, hey, who cares?
1/26/03: word for the day: paste, as in the sentence, "Man, you look pasted!"
I was just messing around with my site a bit tonight, fixing the cartoons slightly, but there's no need to look at them again because you wouldn't even notice what I did.
I also changed a few of the pictures on my site just because. Another thing you wouldn't notice.
A new poem with a hidden message. I got the idea from a lit class... and I wrote that fast.
A new e-mail address. Why? Because we can!
1/24/03: word for the day: tractable= capable of being easily led, taught, controlled
a couple new posings tonight. i was cleaning out my old e-mail folders because i am having dreams of getting rid of my "new" one girl army address i didn't want in the first place, and i found this IM conversation i'd saved of me explaining God's sovereignty to a friend of mine that i've met... once. anyway, its interesting i guess, so i put it under white horse inn since that's where theological discussions go. i called it delving because that's a good word, word.
i also posted a couple poems. you know, those are so EASY to do. haha... i found the prose poem in my e-mail archives too. i was demonstrating prose to someone, just to give them an idea of what it's like, and i liked it. the other one is a weird form called a sestina that i found... not exactly correct as i found out later, but oh well. its strange, but i already wrote an explanation for it with the poem.
1/12/03: word for the day: presentiment = a feeling that something will or is about to happen
Yes, another post this soon. This time I posted words, word. We're impressed! I wrote a story today (yes in one day) for a correspondance class I'm taking. I've been putting it off. So here it is: Footprints.
I also posted a paper. I really like T.S. Eliot. When I went to Tennessee this guy was like, "You're an english major? So that means you've heard of Eliot right? Isn't he great?" And I agree... so what if I had to research him a bit more. I even taught my teacher a thing or two about him since she didn't like him. He's a classic story of a life changed. And his poetry rocks too. Okay, enough of my ranting on the subject; I did enough in the paper.
1/11/03: word for the day: baleful = foreboding, evil: ominous
Welcome to the new year. i must apologize that the only thing new right now are more cartoons... 5 of them. I have more in my head just waiting to come out. but that was the bad news. i need to think up more stuff to put under nu fun chi besides my cartoons!
i can't imagine why you haven't already, but if not, take this quiz: http://www02.quizyourfriends.com/yourquiz.php?quizname=030111093915-alright~p2C~p20the~p20other ~p20one~p20wasn~p27t~p20fair.~p20~p20your~p202nd~p20chance...&email=
it's a "new" one.
